How it works

  1. Upload an image

    Choose one JPG, PNG, or WebP image no larger than 8 MB.

  2. Set the canvas

    Choose a ratio, expansion direction, and image position.

  3. Generate and review

    Select Fast or High quality and follow the result in Workspace.

Use AI outpainting to repair the composition

An AI image extender is most useful when the original subject is already strong but the frame is too tight for a banner, social crop, product layout, or alternate aspect ratio. Place the source deliberately, then uncrop the image by letting AI outpainting generate only the missing area around it.

For a natural extension, keep the requested direction consistent with the visible light, horizon, texture, and perspective. Expanding one deliberate side often gives the AI image extender clearer context than asking it to invent a large border in every direction at once.

  • Create extra copy space beside a product or portrait.
  • Uncrop a subject that sits too close to an edge.
  • Adapt a landscape image to a vertical or square layout.
  • Review repeated textures, broken lines, and lighting seams before export.

Can I extend only one side of an image?
Yes. Choose the new canvas ratio and move the source toward the opposite edge to create expansion space on the side you want the AI image extender to complete.
How far can I expand an image?
The available canvas depends on the source dimensions and selected ratio. Genify shows the resulting layout before submission and keeps the final output at or below 40 megapixels.
Does AI outpainting change the original subject?
The uploaded image remains anchored inside the new canvas. The generated border can still introduce visual differences, so inspect edges, shadows, perspective, and repeated details in the completed result.
Where does the completed image appear?
The task opens in Workspace, and the completed result is saved in My Works.
Does uploading start a paid task?
No. Genify uploads the source only when you submit and shows the required credits in the action button.
